Greenwich Market is delighted to once again be taking part in the two-week Love Your Local Market event this May, a UK-wide celebration of the vital role markets play in their communities.
We are proud to have served our local community since 1737, welcoming neighbours and visitors from across the world to shop in the unique stores and stalls that make this one of the best markets in London.
Celebrate our historic venue and talented traders with us from Friday 15th May to Sunday 31st May 2026, and especially on Thursday to Sunday afternoons when we will be hosting various free events, including live music of all varieties from local performers. During half term week, we also lay on entertainment for the kids including a magic show on Wednesday and face painting on Sunday to round off the fortnight of fun.
We’re so excited and can’t wait for it all to start so, from Friday 1st May, we’ll be all dressed up with Love Your Local Market festival bunting and ready to go!
Shop
Browse the independent stalls run by local entrepreneurs, who create and sell a broad range of items, including one-of-a-kind jewellery, reimagined vintage goods and handcrafted clothes. Whether you’re looking for colourful home decor, delightful new accessories, or tasty treats to take home, you will find inspiration at Greenwich Market’s many stalls, shops and kiosks.
Eat
With plenty of satisfying snacks, fantastic food and delicious desserts to try at our restaurants, street-food stalls and nearby Cutty Sark Street Food Market, we have everything you need to settle in for an afternoon of live entertainment.
Tuck into authentic spicy dishes at Thai Kitchen and Vietnamese flavours at Pho Street. Indulge in fluffy flatbreads at Market Wraps and mouthwatering pizza at Japes, or order a proper pie and mash – created following traditional recipes – at Goddard’s. Wash it all down with coffees from 15 Grams or Monsoon Cafe, and a pint or cocktail from the Coach and Horses.
Have a family day out
Bring the family along and make it an unforgettable day out with the kids in the heart of the UNESCO Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site. Greenwich Park, Cutty Sark and the National Maritime Museum are just a short walk away from Greenwich Market.
